Page 1 of Sick of Scan SC2000 - want something else!
I`m sick of my scan`s crap picture quality.
I want something else about £200 or less with a nice clean un-blocky quality picture and nice sound so I can actually enjoy DVD. Don`t really care if it`s, multi-R or not anymore.
Just want a nice reliable machine - suggestions please.
(Is the LG 3320e any good for example?)
PS: TO MODERATORS - WHY DO YOU ADVERTISE SCAN WHEN IT`S BLATANTLY OBVIOUS THAT THEY ARE BORDERING ON ILLEGAL SALES TECHNIQUES.
Have you tried the Scan SC2000 User Group?
The earlier players did have problems with blockiness (especially if they used the CS4995). If your player has firmware v1.64 or above you should be able to upgrade using a CD-R to fix the problem.
Hi, thanks but I`ve tried that - it`s too old.
Try the LG 4210, it`s multiregion hackable from the remote. It can also be hacked to play VCD`s.Downside is that there is no 5.1 outputs and it cannot play CDR and CDR RW discs.I`ve been using one for nearly a week now and have not found any problems with it yet !.The picture , sound ,build and finish all seem to be of a high standard.
There are a couple of webites dedicated to LG players:
Hope this helps
To be honest if you`re looking at budget players, any of the Toshiba models are unbeatable for picture and sound - worth the extra £50 anyday.
