Close Channel D: David McCallum R.I.P.
My childhood keeps slipping away. I loved The Man From UNCLE. Still 90 is a good innings.
There aren’t too many Great Escapees left either (John Leyton)…

First met him as Ilya Kuryakin and am currently really enjoying him in a series I'd missed, NCIS. Just into season 2 so plenty left to go.
Don't recall ever seeing him interviewed but always gave the impression of a lovely bloke you'd love to have a chat with.
I'll be happy with 90. Unless you ask me again at 89

Truly gutted at this, Scottish great, like Connery always the same voice no matter the nationality even dodgy Russian ones, loved UNCLE he was the reason I watched NCIS even when he Was reduced to cameo roles later in life and he was the great escape for me as he always charmed the pants of everyone and stole scene after scene, RIP Sir :(

RIP David!
Like everyone I also loved The Man from U.N.C.L.E., and also remember him well as The Invisible Man too.
