Yes it was.
Anything that explains the whole movie making process gets my vote.
Up until, I think one of Kermode's shows, I'd never even heard of Foley artists. Unfortunately now that means I can now watch an episode of Wednesday and lose my ***t because her walking round a crypt in trainers sounds like she's wearing Army boots.

I thought I was just getting old, or it was a result of streaming/downloaded files compression being bad so audio wasn't clear, not wanting tv on too loud if missus in bed while I'm watching a film.
I remember getting a msg from her once "can you turn down whatever Star Wars thing it is you're watching please", she was right, it was star wars, I think it suffered from the turning up volume while they talked, to it then being stupid loud when there was a fight :( at least that has been explained now :)
coincidentally I saw this the other day:

Several filmmakers declined the use of captions saying that it cost too much time and money. Other sources say that film buyers argued against captions saying that they would limit the film’s asking price.
Sometimes the youtube subtitles are amusing, especially when it best guesses at a name of someone, or a term unique to that game or whatever the youtuber is talking about :)

I use headphones a lot in those circumstances.
Nothing worse than watching a movie which is too quiet for you.
Not going deaf but the lug holes aren't what they were which is only to be expected when the mileage is racking up.
