Have I Got News For You

Trust me, you really need to see this episode.

Chaired by Brian Blessed, a show on his own.

Is that this week`s one? Recorded the extended one last night while we at the cinema. Never miss it anyway. It`s amazing it`s so good after all these years!

Part of me would like a permanent new host, but part of me likes the surprise each week :)
I think out og the guest presenters Alexander Armstrong has probably been the one you could imagine doing it every week. He`s funny, fits in well, and gives a good impression that he`s not actually reading the autocue ;) Some of the funny hosts seem to have 2 modes, Julian Clary last week was like that, "reading mode" or "ad-lib" mode.

No I wouldn`t like Blessed permanently. Hilarious as a one off though.

Particularly enjoyed Martin Clunes telling Ruby Wax to "shut the f*** up" a couple of years ago.

If you enjoy this type of humour The News Quiz has just started again and is available on Podcast.

I thought William Hauge (sp) was one of the best guest hosts to date.

I haven`t watched it for ages but I watched it last night and it was superbly funny. I think I`ll start watching it again and might just dig out my Boris dvd...

Yeah I saw it and would agree with this. He was completely off his rocker so much that the spotlight was taken off the others. Funnily enough I saw the first ever episode of The Black Adder repeated last night on TV and absolutely nothing had changed as far as BB was concerned. As a side issue I remember asking a few years back if BBC would bite bullet and get Angus back - looks like they are not going to backtrack.

Must say Brian Blessed was brilliant!!

I think the only other guessed who has Merton laughing so much was Boris.....
