Two things shocking about this really.

RE: [VIDEO] Willy's Wonderland

Well I watched it and somehow made it to the end.  I do think I deserve some kind of award to be honest.
Every bit as bad as you would expect...

More pesky teething troubles. Or not.
The irony of many of the proposed solutions to make trade more seamless blow my mind. (create/move jobs into the EU)...

The amount of verbal diarrhea the last couple of days honestly made me feel you were on something Bandi. I don't know if it was really trolling (and think it much more so that than 'mischievous banter') but I totally see how close Rob must have got to pressing that button.

RE: [VIDEO] Brexit

I think what it really is is that the deal was negotiated so quickly and late (really should have stood back and said with the pandemic and everything else in the world, let's pause and get that resolved..) that for most, the 'deal' was little better than a no deal Brexit, and for many a damn sight worse.

RE: [VIDEO] What are you listening to now??? (Music recomendations)

I'd say In Absentia.
It opens with Blackest Eyes from previous post but has so many great tracks, lyrics and harmonies. Heavy in parts and ends with the beautiful Collapse the Light Into Earth...

[VIDEO] RE:What are you listening to now??? (Music recomendations)

If you're looking for any more of his more 'accessible' things, I could recommend these:...
From Porcupine Tree:
A heavier, rockier track about, erm, a Serial Killer..
Blackest Eyes..

A couple of beautiful, more melancholic tracks, both of which I adore.
Sentimental..

Lazarus..

Permanating, a track from his last solo album that quite split the fanbase... Basically he wanted to write a pop song.  The version from his last live 'DVD' pretty much repeats this video (that I hadn't actually seen until just now )

Pariah, a track that I know has been linked to here in the past (from Andy C).. Incredible guest vocal - and the end...

There was an article a few years back that he was something like the most successful musician you've never heard of and it's probably not far off.  He's even bigger now, in huge demand especially to remaster or produce - yet still hardly anyone's heard of him..

RE: [VIDEO] What are you listening to now??? (Music recomendations)

I know why it was Elton and how deliberate it was. I just don't actually like that part of the song and skip past it now. A few in there (Super deluxe boxsets etc.) Steven is quite guilty of himself by his own admission.

RE: [VIDEO] What are you listening to now??? (Music recomendations)

I need to listen to it a few more times I think, The Future Bites is quite different to his previous albums. Much more electronic which is why it's both very different and also on your radar?
I actually thought Personal Shopper was OK but not so the Elton voice overs of the luxury goods.
Some it was quite similar to the sentiments expressed on OMD's Punishment of Luxury I felt.

"Well the EU was well known for introducing unacceptable new regulations, who must be obeyed. "
What were all of those regulations imposed on us?

I do look forward to seeing how the current Trading rules with companies in Europe pans out as I really can't see how the current insistence on companies collecting VAT on HMRC's behalf will work - or the import and handling fees too.  Something needs to be worked out or buying items from Europe will become a thing of the past as they struggle to cope with the costs and delivery refusals.  Such surprises to take delivery of goods (aswell as price increases of 20%+) I'm sure weren't part of people's thoughts as benefits?.
As for advising companies to set up a place in Europe, just incredibly pointless 'advice' for the majority of companies.  Lots of companies are having goods perish or even faced with the prospect of just burning them as it's cheaper than repatriating them.  Meanwhile lots of containers are stuck and the price of shipping has skyrocketed.

The EU stance on the NI/vaccine was a disgrace (now rescinded?) - but it's all a result of that whole negotiated trading process being an unworkable mess.

RE: [VIDEO] Arsenal 2020/21 Season

I assumed that was a joke tbh.
Was he booked because he took too long going off in a timewasting sense or because he knew of an injury and didn't think he'd be going off?
If he was timewasting but something else meant he wasnt actually subbed I'd say that's irrelevant. If he didn't go off because he was aware of something the ref wasn't then that's a bit different maybe..

Accountability and PPE? Haha hahaha....
I think you'll find both things would lead directly lead to hundreds of millions pounds worth of contracts awarded to friends and friends of friends with pretty much zero due diligence.
There was a fortune spent on PPE. Even just re-labelling it probably to bring it back in date. Count those gloves individually, we had millions!!!...
Ain't happening.

RE: [VIDEO] Wandavision (and others)

The whole purgatory thing was sooooo cheap and easy.
We were led to believe it was going somewhere yet so many of the flash forwards, backwards and sideways things actually went nowhere in the end and the ending well deserves its place right up there near the top of worst show endings ever (close to Dexter..)

I loved Lost right until the end.
I was just thinking how amazing its gonna be cos they're gonna explain it all (they'd promised no loose ends....).
Then they didn't bother and the ending was what was predicted right at the beginning and the writers had said it wouldn't be..
Smoke monster wasn't explained either.
