mgm have done 007 fans a fantastic series of bond dvd`s.the print is remastered.picture is sharper than we could expect the extras are also very good.patrick macnee is first rate as the voiceover on the documentry.much more recent films are treated less well than this.

The first of the James Bond collection and a fantastic disc to boot. Considering that this film is 40 years old, MGM have done a fantastic job with all aspects of the disc. Picture and audio are good, while the disc has been given a great selection of extras that set the trend for the other 18 special edition discs.

The 2 documentaries on the film itself and Terrence Young are both interesting and well put together. There is also a commentary which I haven't listened to yet. Apparently it's been put together from a selection of clips from cast and crew, and while it'll never be put forward for the greatest commentary of all time award, does the job nicely. We also get a 1963 Dr. No Featurette, Stills Gallery, Original TV Ads & Radio Spots, as well as the original trailer.

Overall, this disc has been really well put together, the picture & audio are good, the extras excellent and of course there's the film itself. It's full of nice touches, for example the animated menus are original and easy to use, and we also get a booklet filled with little titbits of information. The disc is also great value for money considering the buy one get one free offer available at the moment (Nov 02). Excellent stuff!
