I have no doubts in saying that this is the best film I have seen so far this year.
The acting is first class and the story is so different.
Admitedly the idea of a film about a paramedic on the brink of a break down is not every ones cup of tea.
But it makes a refreshing change from many films I have seen this year.
The music chosen for the soundtrack is just right.
The cinematography is very inventive for a main stream film.
Nicolas Cage is excellent in this film as are the supporting actors.

Nicolas Cage stars in Bringing Out the Dead as an ambulence paramedic who is on the brink of insanity. His only hope is to save somebody. Very powerful performance by Nicolas Cage and great direction by Martin Scorsese.

This film is brilliant. It is original and unlike any other film ever made. It shows a very graphic view of the streets of NYC and the paramedics who must try and save lives under great pressure in many horrible situations. Nicolas Cage is excellent as Frank, a man who gets little sleep, hears voices, and needs coffee and beer on a daily basis.

The Video looks very good especially with the great cinematography in the film. The way they show the ambulences rushing through the town is fantastic and unusual.

This film sounds fine with everything from the talking to the ambulence sirens.

These features are unsatisfying and don`t help the dvd to be more appealing.

I saw this film only a few hours ago not knowing what to expect. From the theatrical trailer I thought this looked like a boring film. But after hearing some good things about it I decided to rent it and I was defintely pleased. Martin Scorsese is definitely a great director. This film is original and it is often funny and quite odd but it keeps you hooked throughout in a very well told story. Definitely worth viewing if you haven`t seen it.
