    The Fly
This frightening, but extremely moving and romantic horror film stars Jeff Goldblum as an over-ambitious scientist who accidentally merges with a housefly while conducting a bizarre teleporting experiment. A journalist (Geena Davis), who has fallen in love with him while covering his scientific endeavors, suddenly finds herself caring for a horrifying creature whose insect half gradually begins to take over.

    The Fly 2
Beneath his ordinary exterior, Martin (Eric Stoltz) is the most extraordinary person alive. Though only five years old, he is a fully matured adult. And he is also the son of a human fly! Now it is only matter of time before his mutated genes waken from their dormant state. Jam-packed with incredible special effects, The Fly 2 is an unforgettable sequel, just as riveting and terrifying as the original.

The Fly and The Fly II are presented on two discs as part of Fox`s Two Films, Two Discs range. The picture quality on both is excellent although the first film has the best picture.
The picture is very detailed on both films. The sound is also good though not spectacular. Dialogue is
clear and audible and there are some good surround effects.

There isn`t much in terms of extras but there is more than there is on other Fox double disc films. We have a trailer, behind the scenes featurette and interviews. Both trailers are nothing special. The featurette for The Fly is 6 and half minutes long and is the best of the two. While not a in-depth documentary, there is some interesting behind the scenes footage and some nice interviews with the cast and crew. The featurette for The Fly II also has some nice behind the scenes footage and interviews but is only 5 minutes long. The interview section on The Fly repeats some of the interviews from the featurette but does feature additional content which is interesting particualry from David Cronenberg and Jeff Goldblum. The interview section on The Fly II does not repeat any footage from the featurette.

Overall, the first film is the best of the two although the second is alright and not as bad as people say it is. Both films are very enjoyable ( provided your not sqeaumish ) and are worth a watch particulary the first. The DVD is pretty good. The R1 version is similiar to our version but only has trailers for both films. The films could do with a special edition
but this is good enough for now.
